Embraer Showcases KC-390 Millennium’s Agile Combat Capabilities at AFA 2025
Embraer’s KC-390 Millennium makes its mark at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference 2025, highlighting unmatched airlift, aerial refueling, and multi-mission capabilities for NATO and global allies.
(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) — Embraer, a global leader in aerospace innovation, will showcase its KC-390 Millennium multi-mission airlift and tanker aircraft at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference 2025 hosted by the Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) from September 22–24 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
The KC-390 Millennium, the most capable aircraft in its class, is designed to execute complex missions in the harshest environments, delivering superior performance, operational flexibility, and cost efficiency with roles spanning aerial refueling, agile combat employment, and rapid-response operations.
Fitted with advanced sensors and communications systems, the KC-390 provides seamless connectivity between aircraft, command centers, and ground forces, while its integrated electronic warfare and self-protection suite enhances survivability and its multi-mission architecture guarantees full interoperability with allied forces.
Earlier in 2025, the KC-390 completed a U.S. demonstration tour, proving its unmatched versatility in defense, space, disaster relief, and public safety scenarios, while also highlighting its potential role in addressing the U.S. Department of Defense’s aerial refueling and logistics challenges.
Its combination of performance and cargo capacity make it particularly effective for rescue missions, special operations, and even future space logistics requirements, positioning it as a highly adaptive solution to emerging mission needs.
“We believe the KC-390 offers tremendous value to the U.S. military as an agile, cost-effective, and technologically advanced tanker,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security, emphasizing its superior performance and reduced operating costs as a key advantage over competitors.
The KC-390 is steadily gaining traction among NATO members and allied nations, already in active service with Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, with confirmed orders from South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, and an undisclosed customer, while Sweden, Slovakia, and Lithuania have also selected the platform.
With Full Operational Capability achieved and active production underway, the KC-390 Millennium is available today as an off-the-shelf, scalable, and affordable solution ready to deliver modern airpower and interoperability in an increasingly contested global security environment. — DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA
