Kapal LMS Batch II Milik TLDM Direkabentuk Untuk Laksana Pelbagai Tugasan Di Perairan
Memandangkan ia akan dilengkapi dengan suite sensor dan persenjataan serta kawalan serta pemerintahan (Command and Control) yang canggih, maka, ketiga-tiga buah buah kapal LMS Batch II milik TLDM itu berkemampuan melaksanaan pelbagai tugasan ketika berada di perairan.
(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) – Kapal-kapal Littoral Mission Ship Batch II (LMSBII) milik Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) yang sedang dibina di Turkiye berkemampuan melaksanakan pelbagai tugasan di perairan.
Memandangkan ia akan dilengkapi dengan suite sensor dan persenjataan serta kawalan serta pemerintahan (Command and Control) yang canggih, maka, ketiga-tiga buah buah kapal LMS Batch II milik TLDM itu berkemampuan melaksanaan pelbagai tugasan ketika berada di perairan.
Ia boleh melaksanakan tugasan Anti-Peperangan Kapal Selam (ASUW), Anti-Peperangan Udara (AAW), Peperangan Tidak Simetri (ASYW) dan Peperangan Elektronik (EW).
Pembinaan dan usaha melengkapkan kapal-kapal itu akan dilakukan di Turkiye dengan pembabitan mendalam syarikat-syarikat pertahanan negara itu.
Sebagai kontraktor utama, Savunma Teknolojieri Muhendiskil (STM) akan menggunakan produk-produk industri pertahanan Turkiye seperti Combat Management System, 76 mm Gun Fire Control System yang akan dibekalkan oleh syarikat HAVELSAN.
Manakala 3D Search Radar, Fire Control Radar, IFF, 30mm Gun, ESM dan Chaff Decoy System dan sensor elektronik yang lain akan dibekalkan oleh syartikat ASELSAN.
Manakala sistem peluru berpandu anti-kapal ATMACA akan dibekalkan oleh syarikat ROKETSAN.
Pada awal Jun lalu, Kementerian Pertahanan Malaysia telah menandatangani Surat Penerimaan (Letter of Acceptance – LOA) dengan Presiden Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) Turkiye bagi perolehan kapal-kapal Littoral Mission Ship (LMS) Batch II untuk TLDM.
LOA itu telah ditandatangani oleh Menteri Pertahanan Datuk Seri Mohamad Khaled Nordin yang melakukan lawatan kerja selama lima hari ke Turkiye dengan Presiden SSB Prof Dr Haluk Gorgun.
Ketiga-tiga buah kapal LMS Batch 2 itu akan disiapkan dalam tempoh yang ditetapkan iaitu tiga tahun enam bulan.
