One such company making waves is SWS Inntech Sdn. Bhd. (SWS Inntech), a cutting-edge Malaysian technology firm revolutionizing firearms storage and management with its innovative smart weapons storage systems.
(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) — Malaysia’s local security industry, particularly in the development of high-tech systems, has reached an impressive level of sophistication—attracting attention beyond national borders.
This growing confidence stems from the fact that the systems and equipment developed by Malaysian firms meet stringent international benchmarks.
One such company making waves is SWS Inntech Sdn. Bhd. (SWS Inntech), a cutting-edge Malaysian technology firm revolutionizing firearms storage and management with its innovative smart weapons storage systems.
Building on its reputation, SWS Inntech has extended its reach into the Middle East through its participation in the prestigious International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX 2025) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The company has leveraged this opportunity to collaborate with Tasleeh Holding, a leading provider of defense and security solutions in the UAE.
This strategic partnership is set to establish a strong presence for SWS Inntech in the rapidly growing security sector in the region.
With an increasing demand for advanced weapons security solutions across the Middle East, IDEX 2025 serves as a pivotal launchpad for the brand’s regional expansion.
“The Middle East remains a key strategic market due to its strong focus on high-security defense solutions,” said Brian Lew, Executive Director of SWS Inntech.
During the exhibition, SWS Inntech engaged with high-profile decision-makers from Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, showcasing its state-of-the-art technology in real-time. The event also provided valuable opportunities for partnerships and client acquisitions.
In a related development, SWS Inntech has further expanded its global footprint by appointing Golden Dragon Machineries LDA, a Timor-Leste-based company, as its exclusive distributor in the country.
The agreement covers the importation, marketing, distribution, and maintenance of SWS Inntech’s smart weapons storage systems in Timor-Leste.
The partnership agreement was officially signed between Brian Lew Yuan Huai, Executive Director of SWS Inntech, and Danny Loo Teck Lim, Managing Director of Golden Dragon Machineries LDA, during the Asia International Security Summit & Expo (AISSE’25) in Putrajaya this past January.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Commander General of Policia Nacional De Timor-Leste, Henrique da Costa M.Si.
This collaboration aims to modernize Timor-Leste’s police force’s weapons management system, ensuring compliance with Industry 4.0 standards.
The project is designed to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and real-time tracking capabilities within the country’s law enforcement agencies.
Under this initiative, SWS Inntech will supply smart weapons storage solutions valued at USD5 million (RM 22.07 million) over three years—marking a significant milestone in Malaysia’s growing role in high-tech security solutions.
SWS Inntech’s expanding international footprint cements Malaysia’s status as a key player in cutting-edge security technology.
The company’s rise to prominence follows its successful bid in 2023 for the Singapore Police Force’s Automated Armory Kiosk System tender.
The trust placed by the Timor-Leste police force in a Malaysian security solutions provider highlights the country’s growing reputation for technological excellence.
It also underscores SWS Inntech’s role as a preferred choice for advanced weapons storage solutions—contributing to the creation of a more efficient, secure, and modern law enforcement infrastructure in Timor-Leste and beyond.
