Malaysian Armed Forces Adopts Poland’s FlyEye UAS System
According to a press release issued by the company on December 12, the first batch of the “FlyEye” UAS systems has been delivered to Malaysia for military use.
(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) – Polish drone manufacturer WB Group has announced that the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) has become the latest user of its “FlyEye” Unmanned Aerial System (UAS).
According to a press release issued by the company on December 12, the first batch of the “FlyEye” UAS systems has been delivered to Malaysia for military use.
Malaysian Armed Forces personnel have undergone training to operate the system at WB Group’s facilities in Silesia, Poland.
The press release did not disclose the number of “FlyEye” systems acquired by the MAF or the procurement value.
Nonetheless, Malaysia has joined the ranks of other nations employing the “FlyEye” system, including its country of origin, Poland.
The “FlyEye” UAS has been extensively tested in challenging conditions, including the large-scale conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
It has been extensively deployed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
The FlyEye has been praised for its resilience against enemy electronic warfare measures, such as jamming, making it a reliable asset in combat scenarios.
