(VIDEO) Iran Unveils Massive Underground “Missile City”, Housing Thousands of Missiles

(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) – Iran has unveiled its latest “Missile City,” reportedly located approximately 500 meters deep within a mountain and housing thousands of missiles ready for launch at any time.

The unveiling ceremony was led by Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force.

According to Iranian state television, the newly revealed missile facility stores thousands of solid-fuel missiles, including the Emad, Qadr, and Qiam models, which are among Iran’s strategic missile arsenal.

The report also noted that this Missile City had previously been used to launch attacks on Israel during the “True Promise-1” and “True Promise-2” operations.

Missiles from this facility targeted Israel’s Nevatim Airbase, which houses several of the country’s fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets.

Observers have reported that the Nevatim Airbase remains inoperable due to the damage inflicted by Iran’s missile strikes.

Footage aired by Iranian television showed only about 10 percent of the entire Missile City complex, while the remaining 90 percent remains undisclosed and classified.

Senior Iranian military officials stated that the nation’s missile capabilities continue to expand daily, with new advancements being introduced regularly.

“The enemy believed our missile production capabilities had ceased, but our missile strength grows stronger every day,” said Major General Salami.

“In terms of quantity, quality, capability, and design, our missiles are experiencing significant growth and improvement. This progress means that the IRGC Aerospace Force will soon unveil new missiles and bases,” he added.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh revealed that only a small number of cities in Iran lack underground missile bases.

“The number of Missile Cities is so vast that even if they were detected, the enemy would be incapable of neutralizing them. What you see is merely the tip of the iceberg,” he stated.

Observers believe the newly revealed facility is Iran’s massive “Shahid Ahmad Kazemi Missile City,” reportedly located in Isfahan.

The facility is said to house up to 2,000 long-range ballistic missiles of various types.

With the capacity to store thousands of missiles, the Shahid Ahmad Kazemi Missile City spans an extensive area, fortified with reinforced bunkers.

Personnel reportedly require vehicles to move between different sections of the underground missile base.

The facility also includes a Command and Control Center for missile operations, along with food supplies and living quarters designed to accommodate hundreds or even thousands of military personnel.

Experts suggest that destroying a facility like the Shahid Ahmad Kazemi Missile City would demand an extraordinary effort from adversaries, potentially involving the use of nuclear warhead-equipped missiles.

They also argue that conventional “bunker-busting” missiles would be insufficient to eliminate such heavily fortified sites, as evidenced by similar challenges in Yemen. — DSA
