Russian fifth-generation Su-57 “Felon” fighter jets have reportedly taken significant risks by penetrating the tightly controlled Ukrainian airspace, equipped with Western-supplied air defense systems, to launch strikes in the Luhansk region of Ukraine.
Beginning this year, the United Aviation Corporation will commence the delivery of upgraded Su-57 fighter jets to the Russian Air Force (Russian Aerospace Force), equipped with a new engine known as AL-51F1, formerly referred to as “Izdelie 30.”
In addition to its armament of guided bombs and ammunition, the Su-57 “Felon,” a fifth-generation Russian fighter aircraft, is reportedly undergoing development to deploy a diverse array of multi-purpose mini drones.
Despite facing strict economic sanctions from the West, it has not deterred Russia from continuing to enhance the capabilities of its fifth-generation fighter aircraft, the Su-57 “Felon.”
To make its fifth-generation fighter aircraft Su-57 “more dangerous,” Russia has equipped it with a new Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) capable of striking targets at greater distances.
The Russian fifth-generation aircraft, the Su-57 “Felon,” officially entered service with the Russian Air Force in 2020 and was said to be different in its design focus, emphasizing firepower rather than stealthiness.
Although facing strict economic sanctions by the international community, Russia’s defense industry is still able to deliver new fighter aircraft to its air force.
