Malaysian Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin received a visit from Turkish defence company, Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. (STM), responsible for constructing three Littoral Mission Ships (LMS) Batch II for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).
STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş., having played a key role in the significant progress seen in the field of defence in the past couple of years in Türkiye, offers critical solutions in such areas as naval platforms, tactical mini-UAV systems (loitering munitions) and cyber security.
As previously stated several times by Defence Security Asia, Turkish shipbuilder, Turkiye Savunma Teknolojieri Muhendiskil (STM), has been confirmed to received a Letter of Intent regarding the acquisition of Littoral Mission Ships (LMS) Batch 2 for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN).
Leading Turkish defence company, STM, is “almost certainly” the chosen contractor for the Royal Malaysian Navy’s (RMN) construction program of three Littoral Mission Ships (LMS), according to industry sources who spoke to Defence Security Asia.
