(DEFENCE SECURITY ASIA) — Hezbollah resistance group have released a video showcasing daring drone attacks on an Israeli military position in the northern part of the country, highlighting their success in destroying the Israeli “Iron Dome” air defense system.

The 1.53-minute duration video depicts how the unidentified drones, believed to be supplied by Iran, successfully penetrated Israel’s northern air defense system to precisely target their objective.

Hezbollah launched at least three kamikaze drones equipped with explosives against the Israeli military position.

According to a statement issued by Hezbollah, the kamikaze drone attacks, armed with explosives, targeted the Israeli military base in Beit Hillel in the north of the country, successfully destroying the newly constructed “Iron Dome” air defense system installation by the Israeli military.

The Iran-backed group claimed that the kamikaze drone attacks with explosives accurately hit their target, rendering its function and operations ineffective.

Hezbollah also stated that they not only managed to destroy the “Iron Dome” air defense system installation at the Israeli military base in Beit Hillel but also successfully targeted a location where Israeli military personnel were gathering in the midst of the military compound.

Following the destruction of the “Iron Dome” air defense system at the Beit Hillel military base, the Israeli military attempted to shoot down the kamikaze drones launched by Hezbollah using F-16 fighter jets, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The destruction of the “Iron Dome” air defense system forced the Israeli military to use F-16 fighter jets in their attempt to shoot down the Hezbollah kamikaze drones, but their efforts failed.

The video of the Israeli F-16 fighter jets’ failure to shoot down the Hezbollah kamikaze drones has gone viral on social media in the country and among Arab nations.

The kamikaze drones launched by Hezbollah continued their flight and targeted the Israeli military position in Beit Hillel.

In addition to attacking the military position in Beit Hillel, Hezbollah fighters also targeted the illegal Jewish settlement in Kiryat Shmona with Katyusha and Falaq rocket fire.

The rocket attack on the illegal Jewish settlement in Kiryat Shmona caused large-scale forest fires in the hilly surrounding areas of the illegal settlement in northern Israel.

It was Hezbollah’s eighth attack within a 24-hour period.

Last March, Hezbollah fighters also launched kamikaze drones equipped with explosives to attack the location of Israel’s “Iron Dome” air defense system in Kfar Blum, northern Israel.

Previously, Hezbollah had reported successes in targeting locations of Israel’s “Iron Dome” air defense system in northern Israel.

For analysts and Israeli media, what is more concerning is the success of Hezbollah fighters in conducting Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) drone flights in the north of the country to accurately identify the positions of the “Iron Dome” defense system.

Israeli military analysts and security officials, as quoted by the country’s media, expressed concern about how Hezbollah’s ISR drones easily penetrated northern Israeli airspace and jeopardized important Israeli military locations, including the “Iron Dome” air defense system installations.
